Welcome to Melwa. We take your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Melwa mobile application.
To provide Melwa’s core service — transforming your photos into style mystery box images — we may collect:
Photos are used to generate mystery box results and are not intended to be permanently stored on our servers after processing is complete.
We use collected information to:
We will not sell your personal information. We may share limited identifiers and event data with measurement partners as described below so we can operate advertising attribution.
Melwa integrates the Adjust SDK (Adjust GmbH / Adjust Inc.) for mobile advertising measurement and install attribution. This is a third-party advertising / analytics measurement service. Melwa does not operate as an ad network that shows third-party display ads in the core photo-generation experience, but we use advertising measurement tools to understand which campaigns brought users to Melwa and to measure related in-app events (such as registration, login, and purchases).
In connection with Adjust and our own servers, we may process:
These data may be transmitted to Adjust and to Melwa’s backend attribution interfaces so we can attribute installs, evaluate advertising performance, and reduce fraudulent attribution. Adjust processes data under its own terms and privacy policy: https://www.adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy/.
On iOS, access to IDFA for cross-app tracking is controlled by Apple’s ATT prompt. You can change tracking permission later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you deny tracking, Melwa and Adjust may still perform limited, non-IDFA measurement permitted by the platform (for example Adjust ADID or aggregated attribution), subject to Apple’s rules.
Where required, Melwa discloses in App Store privacy labels that Device ID and advertising / usage data may be used for Developer’s Advertising or Marketing and/or Third-Party Advertising measurement, and that tracking may occur when you authorize it.
To create your mystery box image, Melwa sends the photo (or a still frame from a short video) you select and your Style Blueprint prompt to cloud AI image services for processing. Processing is temporary and used only to generate your result. Melwa does not sell your photos. You retain ownership of your uploads and generated results, subject to applicable law and the Terms of Service.
On first generation, Melwa presents an AI Privacy Notice describing this processing and ownership.
We employ industry-standard security technologies and measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Generated results and related media may be stored on your device as part of Collection and save/share features. Attribution identifiers and event logs may be stored by Melwa and by Adjust for measurement and security purposes for as long as needed for those purposes or as required by law.
Depending on how you use Melwa, the app may request:
You can manage permissions in iOS Settings.
Coin purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details. Purchase status may be used to credit Coins in Melwa and may be reported as a measurement event to Adjust for advertising attribution.
You may delete your account in Profile → Delete Account. Doing so permanently clears your Collection and remaining Coins on the device as described in the app. Some records required for fraud prevention, advertising measurement, or legal compliance may be retained as required by law or by our measurement partners’ retention schedules.
Melwa is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Effective Date above will be revised when changes are published. Continued use of Melwa after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
